JUDY HOWLE

Judy Howle is a nature and landscape photographer from Columbus, MS.  Her favorite subjects are birds, animals, flowers, old homes, and scenic
landscapes.  Her photos have been shown in several exhibits at the Rosensweig Arts Center and at the Mississippi University for Women.  She has
taught digital photography classes at MUW as continuing education courses and she currently teaches digital photography at the Rosenzweig Arts
Center.  She also offers tutoring for photography and photo editing.

JOYCE MARTIN

Joyce Martin loves the outdoors and taking photographs of wildlife and their surroundings.  Joyce collaborates with her husband James in choosing
photos for their books and other projects.  One of Joyce and James’ favorite locations is the Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge and they have spent
countless hours exploring the refuge and photographing its wildlife.  Their books include The Eagles at Noxubee: Our 2008 Diary, The Rookery at
Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge, and The Red-cockaded Woodpecker at Noxubee Wildlife Refuge.

KERMIT LAIRD

Kermit Laird has photographed the plants, animals and landscapes of Noxubee Refuge for more than twenty years.  His photographs and articles have
been published in many national and regional magazines.  His photographs have also been used in ads, as greeting cards, postcards, calendars, in
corporate reports, presented in exhibition and held in private collections.

(We usually have three judges; however, this year Jane was kind enough to help us out of a little jam and helped to judge the contest along with the
other judges.)

JANE  GODFREY

Jane Godfrey is a self proclaimed rank amateur photographer!  She has been photographing her grandchildren for several years now.  Three of them
play soccer, basketball, football, softball, and baseball.  She has two more that participate in dance and taekwando.  All of this keeps her very busy but
she still finds time to go down to the Noxubee Refuge with her friend and mentor Judy Howle.
